Outline of SwiCity project

        SwiCity E-bike計畫團隊於2015年8月成立,經費來自科技部社會需求衍生技術藍圖之跨領域項目。本計畫之目的為成立一跨領域(科技、管理、行銷、人文)之平台,集結專業人才智庫,培育創新領導人才,憑藉台灣中部自行車產業鏈的優勢地位,進一步開拓智慧電動單車共享系統(Smart E-bike sharing system)的自主技術,期望能集結產業鏈的技術能量,協助產業創造E-bike MIT品牌。
        2016年計畫更延伸到物聯網平台,以電動單車為主要交通工具開發物聯網技術,包含智慧電池、智慧鎖、LoRa物聯網晶片、智慧支付與SwiTube串流平台,並規劃SwiCity服務藍圖,提供台灣數位低碳旅遊之解決方案,期望結合異業成立產官學聯盟,以SwiCity技術帶動智慧城市新商業模式。目前研究成果已申請並獲得5項台灣專利,技術可應用於物聯網產業、智慧交通、電動車產業鍵、電池產業、旅遊民宿、智慧城市、數位媒體産業、P2P物流產業、人工智慧產業等相關領域。

    The SwiCity E-bike project was founded in August 2015, and was funded by a cross-domain project from the Ministry of Science and Technology's Social Demand Derived Technology Blueprint. The aim of this project is to establish a cross-domain (technology, management, marketing, humanities, ) platform,  gather the knowledge of professionals, cultivate innovative leaders, and further develop the independent technology of smart E-bike sharing system with the superior position of the bicycle industrial chain in central Taiwan. It is expected to unite the technical energy of the industrial chain, and assist the industry in creating the E-bike MIT brand.
    In 2016 the project was extended to the Internet of Things (IoT) platform, developing IoT technology with e-bikes as the main vehicle, including smart batteries, smart locks, LoRa IoT chips, smart payment and SwiTube streaming service platform, and planned the swicity service blueprint, providing a solution for Taiwan’s digital low carbon tourism, expecting to join various industries to establish industry-government-academia alliances, and facilitate new business models for smart cities with Swicity technology. At present, the research results have applied for 5 Taiwan patents, and the technology can be applied to the IoT industry, smart transportation, electric vehicle industry keys, battery industry, tourist homestays, smart cities, digital Media industry, P2P logistics industry, artificial intelligence industry and other related fields.
